The new server launch follows the standardisation initiative by providing flexibility and future proofing of each new server in the HP9000 and HP Integrity portfolio. Most importantly the PA-8800 dual processor module utilises the same chassis as the HP Integrity server family, enabling end-user customers to smoothly transition to Integrity when the time is right for them. With in-box upgrades available from PA-8700 on most of the current PA-RISC boxes, as well as future in-box upgrades to PA-8900, HP’s commitment to the HP9000 line provides a valuable platform for customers’ needs today and a stepping-stone for their needs in the future.
